Water is pumped from the Kafue River being lifted three times into a network of sophisticated canals and low pressure and high pressure pipes
Canals
The canals and pipes stretch over 14 km. Both are maintained to the highest standards to ensure no blockages occur and to ensure water is seamlessly delivered to 3 major farms. When running efficiently the system is able to provide more volume of water supply than that pumped into the city of Lusaka.
